  • Song: Jagat Guru Eka Karo noy  By Swami Sadhanananda Giri
    Brief Translation:
My Guru is the Guru of the universe - it is true. But the sublimity of Guru is not the personal possession of anyone. With sectarian thinking one can't perceive Him. He resides in the interior of our bosom. When the desired mother, the serpent power rises up, the entire inner world becomes effulgent. Gurus are there of different types e.g. one who teaches, one who initiates, etc. But the Guru of our mind is the wish-yielding tree. This sublime Guru, the divinity, rests in one's inner self. The internal air swims like a swan in the lake of our body. Only one, who is blessed, can perceive Him. Sadhanananda speaks, - you can't emancipate yourself without the help of this helmsman, - Guru the great.
  • Song: Sadhu Sangha Maha Sangha  by Swami Sadhanananda Giri

    Brief Translation:
Company of a saintly person is truly a great company. I am waiting for the same. The company as such liberates one from the cycles of birth and death. If I could get company as such, I would definitely go out with him, converting myself with his colours. As borax helps to dilute a hard metal like gold, similarly words of saintly persons can melt a stone. But my stony heart does not get dissolved! Lalan says, -My time is passing away fast. I must now concentrate on the name of the Almighty. I practice rosary everyday but the practice with beads of mind I have failed to perform!
  • Song: Sangsar Ghireche Amay  by Swami Sadhanananda Giri

    Brief Translation:
The mundane world has surrounded me like the mythical seven charioteers. I am entrapped in this circular military array of illusion. The mind, when debased, is Jayadrath. He is accompanied by six charioteers in the killing spree. One is Karna, representing the carnal desire, whose arrows piers the mind through and through. The second is anger or Duhsasan who rules over me. The third is avarice or Sakuni. The illusion is Kripa. The ego is Ashwathama. Envy is Dronacharyea, one invincible in this world. I only know how to enter the array. But I do not know how to come out. This time where you are, O Partha, the great warrior! My spiritual practices are the soldiers on my side. I have none else to fight for me. I have no more arrows in my quiver to fight this sinful battle. At the time of death Avimanyu, the mythical martyr, cried out in the name of Lord Krishna. The same fate awaits me. I have nothing to fear.
